Tanzanian Bongo Flava icon Aslay today releases “Natulia,” the lead single from his most anticipated album campaign in years. The single arrives as the first of threepre-release tracks leading to his 14-track album MY WAY, set for release on May 9, 2026, in partnership with Sony Music Africa. “Natulia,” Swahili for “I am settled/I am settling,” is a song about complete, settled love. Unhurried, certain, and entirely his own.
It announces a new emotional era for one of East Africa’s most beloved artists. The track tells the story of a man who has made his choice, completely and without reservation. “Natulia” lands in a different emotional territory entirely compared to the other songs on the album. This is not a man pursuing love. This is a man who has arrived. Written and performed entirely in Swahili, the song speaks to a universal experience through a distinctly East African lens, drawing on football rivalries, “wewe Simba mimi Yanga”, commander-level accountability, and the rarity of a Masai warrior to describe a devotion that is specific, grounded, and entirely his own.
