A seven-year-old, Adrian Gweth, has captured the attention of Kenyans and the President on Wednesday August 12, 2026, during the launch of Kenya Vision 2060 at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).
Gweth, standing before the President William Ruto and other delegates, showed boldness and confidently delivered an important message regarding to the vision of Kenya’s long term development agenda.
He hopes to grow in one where children are safe, families are happy and every child has the opportunity to achieve their dreams.
Speaking during the launch of the Beyond Vision 2030 national conversation, Gweth said he hopes Kenya will be driven by innovation, equality and opportunities for all.
“In 2060, I will be 41 years old, and my dream for Kenya is that I would like to see good schools for all children, good hospitals for everyone, clean water for every home, Gweth said.
He prayed for a safe and happy place in Kenya where the country will also be able to protect its wildlife and preserve peace.
“Mr. President, I want to grow up in a happy and safe Kenya. I want Kenya to be a country where every child can dream and achieve the dreams, he said.
His message came as Ruto launched a national conversation on Kenya’s long-term development agenda beyond the expiry of Vision 2030.
The initiative aims to lay a foundation for Kenya’s development in blueprints in terms of economic transformation and prosperity, industrialization and value addition, job opportunities and youth empowerment and technology, artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
