R&B superstar Chris Brown has pleaded guilty to charges related to a 2023 altercation at a nightclub in the United Kingdom.
Brown previously denied the charges, but on Friday, July 24, 2026, during his hearing at London Southwark Crown Court, he pleaded guilty to a decision that could see him sentenced to three years in prison.
He attacked Abraham Diaw with a bottle in February 2023, but prosecutors said the fight was caught on surveillance camera in front of a club full of people.
Later, Brown left the United Kingdom after the brawl but was arrested in May 2025 at a Manchester hotel after flying to the city for a concert.
He was freed on bail of 5 million pounds ($6.7 million), which allowed him to tour Europe and North America last summer. He was freed again on Friday on bail and will be sentenced in October 2026 on the affray charge.
His career has been shadowed by legal troubles, as in 2009, his then- girlfriend Rihanna made him be arraigned in court. Since then, he has faced multiple arrests for assault, probation violations and altercations with fans and fellow artists.
