InvestKenya, US Embassy Hold Talks to Deepen Investment and Trade Ties

The Kenya Investment Authority (InvestKenya) has held strategic discussions with officials from the United States Embassy in Nairobi and the American Chamber of Commerce Kenya (AmCham) aimed at strengthening investment and commercial ties between Kenya and the United States.

The engagement brought together a U.S. Embassy delegation led by newly appointed Economic Counsellor Daniela Ballard and AmCham Kenya Chief Executive Officer Paul Muthaura.

According to InvestKenya, the discussions focused on policy and regulatory reforms needed to strengthen Kenya’s appeal as an investment destination and unlock greater participation by American investors.

“The engagement focused on priority policy and regulatory reforms to strengthen Kenya’s investment proposition, enhance predictability and investor confidence, improve competitiveness, and unlock greater U.S. investment across high-growth and strategic sectors,” InvestKenya said.

The discussions also explored ways of improving the investment environment by enhancing regulatory certainty and building investor confidence.

InvestKenya said the engagement forms part of broader efforts to deepen Kenya–U.S. commercial relations and position the country to attract more investment into key sectors of the economy.

The talks come as Kenya continues to pursue reforms aimed at improving its competitiveness and creating a more predictable environment for both local and international investors.
