YouTuber Jesse Ridgway, popularly known as McJugger Nuggets and his wife Ashley, has revealed they have terminated their pregnancy following a Down syndrome diagnosis of their unborn child.
Being a YouTuber for 20 years with more than 4.3 million subscribers on his channel. He shared the video on his personal channel, stating that the doctors had confirmed that the fetus had Trisomy 21 (Down syndrome). They expressed the optimism of raising a child with special needs.
“I know this is traumatic for the whole community. Now that we have a definitive result, we’ll talk with the counselors and we’re gonna have some hard conversations,” Jesse said. The couple was emotionally crying as they shared the video.
They said after consultations with genetic counselor, they learned the potential health complications, including heart defects and developmental delays.
They added decision was not made lightly, but they appreciated the messages of support they have received, as many were disappointed and devastated to hear the news.
