Jiji Wins Best E-Commerce Platform at 2025 Digitally Fit Awards

Jiji, Africa’s leading online marketplace, has been named Best E-Commerce Platform at the 2025 Digitally Fit Awards (East Africa edition), cementing its position as a top digital commerce platform in the region.

The awards ceremony, held in Kampala, Uganda, brought together regional digital leaders, innovators, and industry disruptors to celebrate excellence in the digital economy. Jiji Kenya’s Chief Financial Officer, Donald Obonyo, accepted the award on behalf of the company.

Since launching in East Africa in 2019, Jiji has expanded into a widely used online marketplace across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Nigeria, and other African markets, connecting millions of users to opportunities to buy, sell, and grow their businesses. The platform currently serves over 12 million unique users each month, underscoring its growing influence in Africa’s digital economy.

According to Market Data Forecast, Africa’s e-commerce market was valued at USD 1.40 billion in 2024 and is projected to grow to USD 5.76 billion by 2033, highlighting the significant growth potential in the sector.
