Kenya industrial sector is moving forward with the completion of calibration and verification of custody transfer storage tanks at Kabras Bioenergy Limited in Kakamega County.

The manufacturer the department will ensure a safeguarding measurement accuracy, transparency and compliance by protecting government revenue and ensuring fair trade.

By verifying the tanks, it will help in the custody transfer flowmeters undertaken once installation is complete.

The safeguarding will ensure that every litre of ethanol leaving Kabras Bioenergy is accounted for and calibration ensures that no discrepancies undermine revenue collection or market fairness.

The project is expected to create jobs and boost local production of Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA) for industrial and consumer applications.

This will strengthen Kenya’s ethanol production capacity, reducing reliance on imports and will position the country as a competitive player in the East African market.
