Kenya Reaffirms Strong Ties with Uganda, Says Kindiki
Kenya has reaffirmed its long-standing partnership with Uganda, highlighting decades of cooperation built on shared history, close social and economic ties, and a common commitment to Pan-African unity.
Speaking in Entebbe on Tuesday, Deputy President Kithure Kindiki said Kenya deeply values its relationship with Uganda, describing it as one anchored in strong people-to-people connections and mutual efforts to promote regional prosperity.
He noted that Kenya is keen on further strengthening cooperation with Uganda in key areas including trade, infrastructure development, and regional security, saying such collaboration is essential for the shared growth of both nations.
“Kenya looks forward to deepening its collaboration with Uganda and strengthening the enduring friendship and good neighbourliness for the mutual benefit and prosperity of our people,” he said.
Kindiki also praised Uganda’s role in supporting regional development, particularly in advancing economic transformation within the East African region, improving cross-border trade, and strengthening infrastructure and security cooperation.
