Safaricom’s Ziidi Trader Named Fintech of the Year at African Banker Awards 2026
Developed through a partnership between Safaricom and the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE), Ziidi Trader is helping lower traditional barriers to investing and expand participation in the stock market among a wider segment of the population.
Safaricom’s M-PESA-based stock trading platform, Ziidi Trader, was named Fintech of Year 2026 at the 20th edition of the African Banker Awards held in Congo-Brazzaville.
This award was in recognition of the platform’s role in democratizing access to capital markets by enabling Kenyans to buy and sell shares directly through their mobile phones.
