Steps to Open a Kingdom Bank Account Using Your Mobile Phone
Download the Mobile Banking App
• Install the KB Mobile Kenya app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store on your phone. This app allows you to access your Kingdom Bank account and manage it digitally.
Launch the App & Choose Account Opening
• Open the app and look for an option like “Open New Account” or “Apply for an Account.”
Enter Personal Details
• Provide your full name, mobile number, email address, and other required personal information as prompted.
• Use the same mobile number you want linked to your account — this will become your secure login and verification channel.
Upload Your Documents
• Upload digital copies (photos or PDFs) of your national ID or passport and KRA PIN certificate as required.• If you’re opening a business account, you may later need to provide business documents, but initial details can be captured through the mobile form.
Verify Your Identity
• The app may prompt you to complete identity verification — this could involve SMS OTP (one‑time password) sent to your phone or other security steps.
Submit Your Application
• Once all details are completed and documents uploaded, submit your application via the app.• You might receive confirmation and further instructions by SMS, email, or WhatsApp.
Follow Up If Needed
• In some cases, the bank might request additional verification or ask you to visit the nearest branch to complete the onboarding.
